LASO Transportes, a specialist in conventional and special transport involving complex logistics, is strengthening its international presence with the opening of a new branch in Algeciras, Spain, on August 3 marking another step in its strategy for growth and the consolidation of its international network.
This new strategic location will enable the company to strengthen its operational capacity, bring LASO closer to key markets, and ensure an even more agile and efficient response to the needs of its clients and partners.
The choice of Algeciras is particularly significant due to its strategic location in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, alongside one of Europe’s major ports and as a key link between Europe and North Africa. This position will enable LASO to strengthen its operational proximity and responsiveness in managing special transport projects, heavy-lift operations, and logistics solutions, both domestically and internationally.
The new branch is part of a growing international network and will enable enhanced agility in project management, strengthen client relationships, and create new collaboration opportunities in an increasingly demanding and globalized market.
Operations at the new branch will be led by Eduardo Puertas Boza, head of LASO Algeciras, who has 26 years of experience in the lifting sector, 14 of which were spent working in Africa. Regarding this new challenge, he states:
“After 26 years in the lifting industry, 14 of which were dedicated to an extraordinary professional and personal experience in Africa, I take on this new challenge with immense enthusiasm, a sense of responsibility and gratitude.
Launching LASO Transportes’ operations in Andalusia represents much more than just a new professional challenge for me. It is an opportunity to contribute the experience I have gained over the years to this project and to help build a solid, efficient organization with a clear commitment to growth.
I embark on this new chapter committed to continuing to learn, building a strong team, and contributing all my knowledge and dedication to the development of a company that has placed its trust in me. My goal is for hard work, professionalism, a personal touch, and quality workmanship to be the pillars of a project we can all be proud of.” – Eduardo Puertas Boza, head of LASO Algeciras
With this opening, LASO Transportes reaffirms its commitment to sustainable expansion, grounded in strengthening proximity, operational capacity, and the excellence of the services provided.
The new branch represents another step in the company’s international growth, reinforcing its ability to address client challenges with specialized transport, heavy lift, and complex logistics solutions tailored to the demands of each project.
